Final Reflection

I know everybody in this class has been through a lot and gained a lot of experience dealing with adversity. I personally think that I went through the most during the first month. I had to understand entrepreneurship, consumers, my venture idea, and time management all at once. I had a tough time getting in the rhythm of things with how the class was functioning. I missed a lot of assignments early on and had some trouble doing the early venture-related research required. I was very proud of my idea, though, once I got it all set up and thought out. I am very happy with the experience I gained in going out and having to do business-y things for this class, and it really did help me gain an entrepreneur's mindset.
I never really considered entrepreneurship as a mindset until after this class. I learned that the definition is truly broad and allows for a lot of contextualization. I have learned a lot and would definitely consider myself much more of an entrepreneur than before. I find myself thinking critically about every situation with the goal of finding the core problem and then any possible solutions.
I would recommend that people in this class look ahead and make a legitimate plan. Understanding each week before it happens is the key to success. You need to understand it and then set up time for each part because sometimes it feels like work magically appears and slaps you in the face. In order to better understand the entrepreneurial mindset, you need to understand the future problems and plan for all kinds of eventualities to be successful, and it is also important to learn how to solve problems on the fly. That is what this course does for you, it gives you the opportunity to strengthen yourself in those areas. It isn't hard, it simply requires dedication.

  1. Hey Jackson,
Well written final thoughts. Something i agree with and seems like most people agreed with is the need to plan ahead. Like you i also advised for others to take the time and prepare for the weeks work ahead. If you don't rush through assignments, you'll be able to benefit from them like you should. check out my post here http://lasserchristian.blogspot.com/2016/04/final-reflection.html

  2. Hey Jackson! First off, your blog design is dope. Second, I agree with all the points you brought up, I struggled with checking my calendar and making sure I was finishing all the assignments on time since they were due at such weird times so often and I felt like I was too busy to put in 100% effort into each assignment. I'm happy for you that you gained so much passion and enthusiasm for your business venture once you got into the swing of things, that makes things much easier for this class. I also realized that entrepreneurship is a mindset as well as a lifestyle through out this whole class. Great post well done. You should check out my thoughts at this link:

  3. Hey,
I agree with the statement you made at the end, it’s not a hard class but it does require dedication. I feel like if you find something that really interests you, none of the assignments will be very hard since you’ll just be working on something that you’re passionate about and you’ll just want to find out more about it.
